He highlighted that out of 78 polling stations in Kangra district, 60% or less voter turnout was recorded, with Jayasimpur Vis area showing the highest percentage of low voter turnout.

To address this, special awareness campaigns will be launched for the six polling stations with less than 72% voter turnout. Bairwa stressed the importance of providing better facilities at polling stations as per Election Commission guidelines and urged assistant electoral officers to personally visit these stations to motivate voters. Additionally, he outlined various activities planned under the Sweep campaign to educate voters through schools and community events.

The administration aims to encourage maximum voter participation and ensure a smooth electoral process on polling day, scheduled for June 1. Alongside, officials will distribute invitation letters to voters and encourage them to participate in voting by applying stamps on their wrists. Furthermore, selfie points and voter signature walls will be set up to engage voters and increase their involvement in the voting process.
