Seven-Day NSS Camp Begins at GSSS Kuther, Kangra

A seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp commenced today at the Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) Kuther, located in the Jawali Assembly constituency of Kangra district. The camp will run from October 25 to October 31, 2025.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the school’s Principal, Mr. Ujjwal Singh, as the chief guest. Also present were Mr. Dharmendra Singh Katoch, Mr. Manjeet Kumar, Mr. Vikram Singh, Ms. Sapna Rani, and 25 NSS volunteers.

In his address, Mr. Ujjwal Singh emphasized that NSS plays a vital role in instilling social responsibility, volunteerism, and patriotism among youth. He highlighted the camp’s significance in fostering holistic development and urged the volunteers to imbibe the values and lessons learned during the camp into their daily lives.

Throughout the week, volunteers will actively participate in various community-oriented activities such as cleanliness drives, environmental conservation efforts, social service initiatives, and awareness rallies. NSS coordinators stated that the primary aim of the camp is to cultivate social sensitivity and leadership qualities among young participants.

The event was organized and conducted by the NSS faculty coordinators. A large number of students and the entire school staff were also in attendance.
