Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released a book, “Rohtang: Aar Paar”, written by renowned Hindi poet from Lahaul-Spiti Ajey, here on Tuesday (March 4, 2025).
Commending the author’s efforts, the Chief Minister said that the book served as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the indigenous people of the Himalayas. He said that the state government was committed to nurturing local talent and assured all possible support to such outstanding and popular works.
Ajey said this book was a compilation of memoirs, travelogues, diary entries, letters, blog posts and conversations with young writers. He said the book captured unique lifestyle, cultural heritage and biodiversity of the Himalayas.
Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar, Himachal Pradesh University Prof Chander Mohan Parasher, Himachal Pradesh Head of HelpAge India Dr Rajesh Kumar and other prominent persons were present on the occasion.
