Retired Himachal IAS officer Arun Sharma lists bureaucratic loopholes in new book ‘Frauds in Files’


SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released a book, ‘Frauds in Files – A Compendium of Case Studies’, authored by IAS officer Dr Arun Sharma (retired) at his official residence Oak Over in Shimla on Thursday (March 6, 2025).


The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to Dr Arun Sharma on the release of his new book and described it as a significant effort in highlighting systemic loopholes. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’ and welcomed initiatives that help alleviate public hardships.


CM Sukhu said that the government had undertaken various reforms to streamline the system, including amending and repealing outdated laws to enhance service delivery to the people of the state.


Dr Arun Sharma described the book as an “eyeopener” that brings to light an invisible parallel system unrestrained, fearless and unaccountable to anyone, which must be addressed. MLAs Sanjay Awasthi and Suresh Kumar and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
