Dharamshala: In response to the dispute between Arni University and the local administration, the Deputy Commissioner of Kangra, Dr. Nipun Jindal, has ordered an additional deputy commissioner to conduct a fact-based investigation.
The report is expected to be submitted within three weeks after examining the facts and hearing from relevant parties.
The orders issued by the deputy commissioner state that certain university employees’ services were allegedly terminated by the university management.
In connection with the Indora SDM case, a report was requested. The SDM’s report stated that employees who were on a peaceful strike since December 28, 2023, had concluded their protest on January 3, 2024.
Various media reports have raised concerns about the alleged negative role played by the local administration in the entire matter.
Previously, the top management of the university had accused the local administration of issuing threats, prompting an inquiry by the Indora SDM.
The deputy commissioner’s orders emphasize the need to establish the truth of such allegations against the local administration, as suggested by both the local media and the evidence presented by Arni University’s management.
Additionally, a thorough investigation into the facts that led to these allegations and the role of the local administration in the entire incident will be carried out. For this purpose, additional deputy commissioner Saurabh Jassal has been instructed to conduct a detailed inquiry and submit a fact-finding report within three weeks.
