BJP Himachal Pradesh Vice President and Kangra MLA Pawan Kajal has expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing a ₹1,500 crore special relief package for disaster-hit Himachal Pradesh. Calling the package a lifeline for the state, Kajal said the Prime Minister’s visit and gestures of empathy have infused new hope into a region devastated by floods and landslides.

Kajal emphasized that the Prime Minister’s direct interaction with affected families—especially his moment of compassion when he embraced a young girl who had lost her entire family—was a poignant reminder that Himachal is not just a state to Modi, but part of his extended family.

He added that the relief package includes ₹2 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh for those seriously injured, underscoring the Centre’s emotional and financial commitment to the state.

Taking aim at the Congress-led state government, Kajal accused it of mismanaging central funds and diverting them toward salaries and non-essential expenditures instead of focusing on rehabilitation. He urged the state leadership to rise above partisan politics and ensure that every affected citizen receives timely and transparent support.

Kajal further stated that no previous Congress government had extended such generous aid to Himachal during times of crisis. “Modi ji has repeatedly shown that Himachal’s pain is his own,” he said.

He assured that BJP workers would actively disseminate information about the Prime Minister’s contributions and monitor the relief and rehabilitation efforts to ensure accountability and transparency.

“In this hour of crisis, the people of Himachal will never forget the Prime Minister’s compassion and decisive action,” Kajal concluded.
