Palampur: Ridam Singh Thakur, hailing from Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, has made her family, her town and the state proud. She has been appointed the Advocate General in the Indian Army’s Judge Advocate General (JAG) branch.

After securing top positions in academics at Saint Paul Senior Secondary School Palampur and pursuing BSc in Basic Sciences from Agriculture University Palampur, she excelled in the entrance test for law, earning LLB and LLM from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

Thakur joined the Indian Army through the Short Service Commission (SSC), passing out from centers in South Bengaluru, Bhopal, and Allahabad. Her success has brought immense pride to her family, especially her parents, Lokendra Singh Thakur, a senior advocate, and Jyoti Thakur.

This significant achievement reflects not only Thakur’s dedication and hard work but also the values instilled by her family. As her story inspires many, she emphasizes the importance of perseverance and passion in achieving one’s goals.
