Nurpur Police’s Major Action: One Arrested with 11.87 Grams of Heroin

As part of the ongoing special campaign against drugs, the CIA team of Police District Noorpur successfully arrested a man carrying heroin.

While on patrol today, the police received a tip-off from reliable sources that a person was present near Durga Mata Temple in village Samal with narcotics on his scooter. Acting swiftly, the police raided the spot near Dharwal Forest Rest House.

During the search of a black Activa scooter (HP-97-A-4222), the police recovered 11.87 grams of heroin (chitta).

The accused has been identified as:

  • Name: Naresh Kumar (37 years)
  • Resident: Village Nagadwan, Post Office Sauhra, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra

Legal Action

A case has been registered against the accused under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Damtal. Investigations are underway to trace the source of the narcotics and identify possible links with other traffickers.

Noorpur Police has urged the public to support their fight against drugs and immediately report any suspicious activities.
