On 07.03.2026, based on the complaint of Smt. Jeevan Lata, resident of village Panjasra, an FIR No. 23/26 dated 07.03.2026 under Sections 331(4), 305 BNS was registered at Police Station Rehan regarding theft. Unknown persons had broken the door of her house and stolen gold ornaments, a gents ring, a ladies ring, a pair of tops, a small idol of Lord Satyanarayan, and some cash.
During investigation, it was found that the accused arrested in FIR No. 24/26 dated 08.03.2026 under Sections 21, 25, 29 NDPS Act at Police Station Rehan were also involved in the above theft incident.
The arrested accused have been identified as:
- Rajesh Singh, son of Karm Singh Kumar, resident of Ward No. 02, village & Post Office Rehan, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra (H.P.)
- Shubhav alias Shubhu, son of Sanjay Kumar, resident of Ward No. 05, Rehan, Post Office Rehan, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra (H.P.)
From the possession of the accused, stolen property was recovered including one ladies gold ring, one gold earring with red stone and chain, one key ring, one pair of ladies toe rings, one silver ring, as well as two DVRs and one Wi-Fi device stolen from the house.
Further interrogation of the accused regarding other possible thefts is underway, and necessary proceedings in the above case are being carried out as per law. District Police Nurpur appeals to the general public to immediately inform the police about any suspicious activities in their surroundings so that crimes can be effectively prevented.
