The Nurpur Police continued its sustained campaign against illegal mining with another successful operation on Sunday. Acting under the Mining Act, police seized two tippers, one canter, and one tractor during raids conducted under Police Post Kandwal (Nurpur Police Station) and Police Post Re (Fatehpur Police Station).
The seized vehicles have been challaned under the Mining Act, and cases against the accused have been forwarded to the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings.
Officials stated that the district police will maintain its strict vigil and continue its drive against the illegal mining mafia to curb such activities in the future.
