On 10.03.2026, Police Station Nurpur received information regarding the disappearance of a 13-year-old boy, Ayush Pathania, resident of village Kadroh, Post Office Khairyan. Acting promptly, Nurpur Police initiated a search operation with the assistance of local residents.
On 11.03.2026, the boy’s clothes and slippers were found near Greli Khad (Nagni). Upon searching the Khad, the body of the boy was recovered. Police and the DFU team immediately reached the spot and collected necessary evidence.
The body was sent for post-mortem at Civil Hospital Nurpur and thereafter handed over to the family for last rites. In this regard, proceedings have been initiated under Section 194 BNSS at Police Station Nurpur. The post-mortem report is awaited.
