The Nurpur district police have intensified their ongoing campaign against illegal mining. On the night of January 18, 2026, police teams from Dumtal Police Station at Ranchi Mod and Dhagoonpir Police Post carried out operations targeting the mining mafia. During the action, five tractors and one tipper engaged in illegal mining activities were seized.
All six vehicles have been booked under the Mining Act, and challans have been prepared. The cases are being forwarded to the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings against the accused.
Authorities emphasized that the Nurpur police will continue their strict campaign against illegal mining in the district, ensuring that offenders face appropriate legal consequences.
