During the last 24 hours, Nurpur District Police carried out routine enforcement drives under the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act against illegal liquor. A total of four cases were registered, leading to the seizure of 34 litres of illicit and country-made liquor.
Police Station Rehan:
Under FIR No. 13/2026 dated 09.02.2026, 15 litres of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of Anil Kumar, resident of Raja Ka Talab, Tehsil Fatehpur. The accused was arrested and later released on bail. Further investigation is underway.
Police Station Indora:
Under FIR No. 22/2026 dated 09.02.2026, 5 litres of illicit liquor were recovered from Arjun Singh, resident of Thatholi, Tehsil Indora.
Under FIR No. 23/2026 dated 09.02.2026, 9 litres of country-made liquor were recovered from Surjinder Singh, resident of Ghetta, Tehsil Indora.
In both cases, the accused were arrested and released on bail. Further investigation is in progress.
Police Station Fatehpur:
Under FIR No. 16/2026 dated 09.02.2026, 5 litres of illicit liquor were recovered from Paramjeet Kaur, resident of Bela Thakran, Tehsil Fatehpur. The accused was arrested and released on bail. Investigation is ongoing.
Nurpur Police appeals to the general public to share any information related to the manufacture, storage, or sale of illegal liquor with the police. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
