Nurpur Police Action: 6.32 Grams of Heroin Seized, One Accused Arrested

As part of the ongoing campaign against drug trafficking, Nurpur Police achieved a significant breakthrough.

On March 8, 2026, an FIR No. 78/2026 under Section 21 of the ND&PS Act was registered at Police Station Nurpur.

During routine patrolling near Khushinagar, Himachal Tourism Hotel, Nurpur, the police team intercepted a suspicious individual. Upon searching, 6.32 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Vivek Singh, son of Mahinder Singh, resident of Village Khanoda, Post Office Tundi, Tehsil Chouhadi, District Chamba (Himachal Pradesh), aged 35 years. He was arrested on the spot.

The seized narcotic substance has been taken into custody as per legal procedure, and further investigation is underway to trace the source and network of drug supply.
