As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development (CSR-SD) Plan for 2024–25, NHPC’s Regional Office Banikhet extended support to local education by providing furniture and technical equipment to Government Secondary School Trittha, located in Tehsil Dalhousie, District Chamba. The initiative was carried out on July 11, 2025, with a focus on creating a modern and student-friendly learning environment in remote areas.
The handover ceremony witnessed the presence of NHPC officials including Mr. Dinesh Singh (Deputy General Manager, HR), Mr. Pawan Kumar (Group Senior Manager, IT), Dr. Pramod Kumar (Group Senior Manager, HR), along with other staff members. Also present were Ms. Sapna Kumari (Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Jiunta), Ms. Suresh Kumari (Chairperson, School Management Committee), SMC members, School In-Charge Ms. Malkan Devi, and school staff.
The school received 13 student benches, 2 steel tables, 5 cushioned office chairs, one computer set, and one colour printer. Community representatives and school staff expressed gratitude to NHPC for its contribution and praised the company’s development efforts not only in project-affected areas but across the Chamba district.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Dinesh Singh affirmed NHPC’s ongoing commitment to inclusive development. He emphasized that the Banikhet office consistently supports projects in education, health, and socio-economic development, and will continue these efforts in the future.
This initiative underscores NHPC’s dedication to educational advancement and inclusive growth—especially in remote and mountainous regions where such interventions significantly enhance access to quality education.
