Development in Shahpur Assembly constituency continues to gain momentum as MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania performed the foundation ceremony for the Dhanotu–via Bad Basti road in Mundla today. The 3.670-kilometer stretch, connecting to National Highway-154, will be constructed under NABARD funding at a cost of ₹2.72 crore.
Once completed, the road will benefit approximately 1,500 residents of Upper Ladwara, Bad Basti, Dhanotu, and Upper Mundla by providing improved transportation access.
Pathania shared that various public works worth ₹12.65 crore are currently underway in the Gaggal sub-division. He also highlighted the rapid progress of the ₹9.80 crore Laleta–Banu Mahadev road project. Additionally, the Jal Shakti Department has invested ₹40 lakh in drinking water schemes in the region, and a new 63 kV transformer worth ₹12 lakh will be installed in Kalabasti, Mundla Panchayat.
In a gesture of appreciation, Pathania honored Kartar Chand, Jeevan Kumar, and Desh Raj for donating six kanals of land for the road project. He also distributed school bags to 98 students from primary schools in Ladwara, Bhati, Makroti, Upahu, and Trembla.
Further supporting community initiatives, he presented ₹10,000 cheques to women’s groups including Adarsh Mahila Mandal (45 Mile), Riddhi Siddhi Mahila Mandal, Chinmay Mahila Mandal Ladwara, and Laheshwari Mahila Mandal Mundla.
Panchayat Pradhan Rakesh Kumar welcomed the MLA and expressed gratitude for the ongoing development efforts. Congress leader Sarita Saini also shared her views during the event.
