Superintendent of Police (SP) Chamba, Abhishek Yadav, personally visited the crime scene at Bombay Palace Hotel today to oversee the investigation. Speaking to the media, he confirmed that the altercation took place between two hotel workers, which escalated into violence. One of the employees, identified as Aman, reportedly attacked his colleague Manish with a knife, leading to fatal injuries.
“The moment we received the call, a police team rushed to the spot and immediately shifted the injured person to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead,” SP Yadav stated. “The accused had fled the scene after committing the crime, but was swiftly tracked down and arrested within hours.”
He further informed that all crucial evidence, including CCTV footage, has been collected and forensic teams have also conducted their investigations. The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem and will be handed over to the family soon. A charge sheet is being prepared, and the accused will be presented in court, he added.
