The monthly meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Government Pensioners’ Association, Nurpur, was held on March 14 under the chairmanship of Association President Sardarilal Gupta.
During the meeting, various issues concerning retired employees and pensioners were discussed, with special focus on the financial benefits due to those who retired after 2016.
General Secretary Jaswant Dhiman informed that it is essential to fight for the rights of pensioners. He announced that on March 16, pensioners from Kangra district will organize a rally in Dharamshala and submit a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, urging the government to address their demands. He appealed to fellow pensioners to actively participate in this initiative.
In his address, President Sardarilal Gupta strongly emphasized the need for immediate fulfillment of pending demands, stating that ignoring pensioners’ rights is unjust. He encouraged pensioners to unite and make collective efforts to ensure quick resolution of their issues. He also expressed gratitude to all members for their regular participation in association activities.
After the meeting, refreshments were arranged. The gathering was attended by the President, General Secretary, Treasurer, and a large number of pensioners.
