Holi : A comprehensive disaster management mock drill was conducted at Government Senior Secondary School, Holi, in Bharmaur on June 6. Various departments, including Revenue, Police, Home Guards, Fire, and Health, actively participated in the drill to enhance preparedness for emergencies. CISF Sub-Inspector Vivek Kumar was present as an observer, while Tehsildar Holi, Ajay Kumar, led the exercise.
First Phase: Earthquake Scenario
At 9:30 AM, the school principal informed the sub-divisional administration about an earthquake, simulating a situation where some students suffered minor injuries. The school administration swiftly implemented emergency measures, safely evacuating students and providing first-aid to the injured.
Second Phase: Fire Emergency
At 11 AM, a fire outbreak was simulated in the school’s chemistry laboratory, leading to injuries for five students and one staff member. The fire department promptly responded, ensuring safe evacuation and sending the injured individuals to the local hospital for treatment.

Awareness & Preparedness Session
At the end of the drill, a discussion session was held with students, where experts emphasized safety measures during disasters and the importance of awareness. Practical demonstrations were provided to equip students with the necessary skills to handle emergencies effectively.
