The Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, Mandi service centre (Sadbhavana Bhawan), organised a mega blood donation camp on Saturday as part of the nationwide Mega Blood Donation Camp 2025. The initiative aims to foster service, cooperation, and the spirit of universal brotherhood.
Strong community participation
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the Brahma Kumaris family, students, and teachers. Volunteers from Vallabh Government College, ITI Mandi, IIT Kamand, and several other institutions joined hands in the drive.
In total, 75 volunteers registered, and 45 units of blood were collected during the day. Organizers said the turnout reflected a growing awareness among youth about social responsibility and humanitarian service.
Tribute to Dadi Prakashmani
The camp was dedicated to the 18th remembrance day of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani Ji, former Chief Administrator of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya. Known globally for her lifelong commitment to peace, human values, and world brotherhood, Dadi Prakashmani remains a guiding inspiration for the Brahma Kumaris community.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajyogini BK Sheela Didi, Sub-Zone Head of Mandi Circle, underlined the importance of the initiative.
“Blood donation is the greatest virtue. It not only saves lives but also deepens the spirit of service, cooperation, and compassion in the donor’s heart. Every individual should come forward to donate blood whenever possible so that we can collectively build a healthier and more humane society,” she said.
Nationwide campaign
The Mandi camp is part of a series of blood donation drives being organized across India and Nepal by the Brahma Kumaris. The collective target is to collect over 100,000 units of blood in memory of Dadi Prakashmani.
Support from medical fraternity
The blood donation drive in Mandi was conducted with active support from doctors and staff of the Zonal Hospital, Mandi. Their role was acknowledged as crucial to the smooth functioning of the camp.
At the closing ceremony, donors were honored with certificates of appreciation. The event concluded with the message that “blood donation is not just about saving lives, but the highest service to humanity and brotherhood.”
