Dharamshala — Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Berwa announced that a comprehensive master plan will be formulated to enhance and beautify Kangra district’s major temples, including government-authorized Shakti Peeths. All sub-divisional magistrates have been directed to take swift action in this regard.

Chairing a review meeting of temple trusts at the NIC auditorium on Friday, DC Berwa shared that the beautification and development plan for Jwalamukhi Temple will be prepared in collaboration with experts from NIT Hamirpur. Similar master plans will be developed for Chamunda, Brajeshwari, and Damtal temples through coordination with specialized agencies to ensure improved facilities for devotees and long-term maintenance of temple complexes.

The DC also instructed officials to initiate the ritual of aarti at Ban Ganga near Brajeshwari Dham. Additionally, maintenance directives were issued for Jwalamukhi’s Bhairav, Ashtabhuja, and Tara Devi temples.

💻 Digital Services and Infrastructure Upgrades

To modernize temple experiences, phased implementation of digital services such as online langar booking and virtual darshan will begin soon. Emphasis was placed on enhancing the quality of traditional worship practices and ensuring systematic digital development of temple infrastructure.

🚧 Encroachment Removal and Cleanliness Drive

DC Berwa stressed the need to remove encroachments from temple access roads to facilitate smooth movement for pilgrims. He also directed temple officials to regularly inspect storage rooms and maintain proper records of offerings and donations.

The meeting included detailed discussions on cow shelters managed by temple trusts and the resolution of audit-related issues. Special attention was also given to maintaining cleanliness across temple premises.

Present at the meeting were ADM Shilpi Becta, SDMs Sanjeev Kumar (Jwalamukhi), Indora, Baijnath, Dharamshala, and temple officers.
