MANDI: Mahin Vaidya, a talented young artiste from Mandi, has achieved remarkable success at the National Youth Festival 2025, elevating the cultural prominence of both Mandi and Himachal Pradesh.
Competing against participants from across the nation, Mahin secured a gold medal in the One-Act Play category and a bronze medal in the skit competition.
The National Youth Festival, organised by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is an annual event celebrating youth talent in various cultural and artistic disciplines.

The 2025 edition was held at Amity University, Noida, from March 3 to 7, bringing together young artistes from diverse backgrounds to showcase their skills.
Mahin’s journey to national acclaim began at the inter-university North Zone Youth Festival, where he clinched first place in both One-Act Play and Skit categories.
The victory paved the way for his participation in the national event, where he continued his stellar performance by winning the gold medal in One-Act Play and securing third place in the skit competition.
Currently in his final year of Economics Honors at SD College, Chandigarh, Mahin has become the first artiste from Mandi to achieve such a distinction in acting at the national level.
His father Paras Vaidya, along with other family members, expressed immense joy and pride over Mahin’s accomplishments. They are optimistic about his future prospects and believe he will emerge as a new star in the world of acting.
