Key Decisions Taken in SADA Bharmour Meeting to Boost Development and Revenue Generation

A significant meeting of the Special Area Development Authority (SADA) Bharmour was held on Tuesday in the conference hall of the Mini Secretariat, chaired by Chairman and Deputy Commissioner of Chamba, Mukesh Repaswal.

During the meeting, the income and expenditure statement for the financial year 2023–24, along with the annual budget and work plan for 2024–25, were approved. Key proposals for the financial year 2025–26 were also discussed.

Several crucial decisions were made to enhance SADA Bharmour’s revenue, including:

  • Leasing out approved shops, gym halls, and parking facilities
  • Renting out the shopping complex near the old bus stand
  • Imposing maintenance fees on commercial establishments
  • Strict enforcement of building plan regulations
  • Strengthening solid waste management and sanitation services in Bharmour town

It was also decided to levy a green fee on vehicles registered outside Himachal Pradesh entering the Bharmour SADA area to boost local revenue.

DC Repaswal directed that a door-to-door plastic waste collection and waste management plan be implemented without delay.

The meeting was attended by SP Abhishek Yadav, ADM Bharmour Kulbir Singh Rana, Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti Department Harminder Chauna, PWD’s Sanjay Sharma, Forest Officer Navnath Mane, TCP’s Dharmendra Kumar, BDO Ramanveer Chauhan, Panchayat Pradhan Anil Kumar, Sanchui Sanjeev Kumar, and other departmental officials and local citizens.
