Jawali, Himachal Pradesh — Students from Spring Dale Convent Senior Secondary School, Jawali, have made their school proud by securing selection for the upcoming state-level Taekwondo Championship to be held in Mandi.
The district-level Under-14 Taekwondo Championship was hosted at Government Senior Secondary School, Dehra, while the Under-19 category took place at Government Senior Secondary School, Dharamshala. Students from Spring Dale Convent actively participated in both events.
In the Under-14 category, four students — Harshita, Aarab, Surya Pratap, and Divyansh — earned selection for the state-level competition. In the Under-19 category, Class 10 student Ishan qualified for the state-level championship after winning the gold medal. Other notable achievements included silver for Trishulin Singh Niryal and bronze medals for Vansh, Arshita, and Sourav.
The students credited their success to the school management, Principal Dr. Rajeev Singh Niryal, and their coach Mr. Bhanu Pratap, who introduced Taekwondo at the school and nurtured their skills.
Dr. Niryal expressed pride in the students’ achievements, stating, “It’s a significant milestone for Jawali city that our students have represented the school and showcased their talent in this sport.”
Upon their return, the school community — including Chairman Dr. Rajendra Ji, MD Mr. Pawan Chaudhary, and other committee members — congratulated the students and encouraged others to follow their path of dedication and excellence.
