Maharaja Sansar Chand college at Thural holds ‘Road Safety Awareness Campaign’

KANGRA: The Road Safety Club of Maharaja Sansar Chand Memorial Government College at Thural in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh organised an impactful ‘Road Safety Awareness Campaign’ on Saturday.
The event aimed to educate students about road safety measures and promote responsible driving. The campaign was graced by Thural police chowki in-charge Madan Singh, who served as the resource person, and the principal of the college, Prof Raka Sharma, who was the chief guest.
Madan Singh emphasised the importance of wearing seat belts, adhering to traffic rules and the dangers of drug abuse, stressing how these factors could affect road safety.
Prof Raka Sharma spoke about the institution’s zero-tolerance policy on drug abuse and encouraged students to strictly observe all traffic regulations for their safety and the safety of others. The event was a significant step towards fostering road safety awareness among the youth of the region.
