Under the guidance of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax–1 Chandigarh, Mrs. Shalini Bhargava Kaushal, and Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Shimla Range, Mr. Sridhar Dora, the Income Tax Department, Dalhousie conducted an Income Tax Awareness Program at Guru Nanak Public School, Dalhousie.
The departmental team included Mr. Vineet Kumar (Income Tax Officer, Dalhousie), Mr. Ankit Malik (Inspector), Mr. Rajesh Sharma and Mr. Shobhit Chawla (Tax Assistants), along with Mr. Pankaj Kumar and Mr. Rajeev Tandon. They addressed the students and shared insights into the functioning of the Income Tax Department.
The session aimed to educate students about the importance of income tax and its role in nation-building. Mr. Vineet Kumar emphasized that timely and honest tax payment is essential for a progressive society. He also responded to students’ queries and highlighted that such initiatives are designed to foster a responsible “tax culture” among youth, who are the future of the country.
As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, all attending students and teachers joined the department officials in taking the Integrity Pledge.
Mr. Vineet Kumar extended heartfelt thanks to the school leadership, including Chairman Mr. N.S. Bhandari, Principal Mr. Navdeep Singh Bhandari, Vice Principal Mr. Sandeep Rana, and faculty members Mrs. Rekha Berry, Mrs. Balvinder Mandla, Ms. Dharavi Rana, Mr. Mohit Kohli, Mr. Mayank Sharma, and Dr. Deepak Bansal, along with the entire teaching and non-teaching staff.
