Palampur — Shahid Captain Vikram Batra Government College, Palampur, successfully concluded its Hindi Fortnight celebrations today, organised by the Hindi Department from September 15 to 29. The event featured a vibrant array of competitions including handwriting, slogan writing, poster making, and poetry recitation, with nearly 100 students showcasing their creativity and linguistic flair.
The closing ceremony was graced by Acting Principal Professor Kalpana Rishi, who awarded the winners and commended their writing, reading, and artistic excellence. In her address, she emphasized that such initiatives not only promote the growth of the Hindi language but also help uncover the intellectual sharpness of young minds. She encouraged the continuation of these competitions to foster dynamic learning and cultural engagement.
In the poetry recitation competition held today, the judging panel included Dr. Anupam Dogra, Dr. Anita Saroch, and Professor Sunita Katoch. The results across various categories were as follows:

The program also featured cultural performances that added vibrancy to the celebrations. Faculty members including Professor Dhanveer, Dr. Meenakshi Thakur, Professor Manisha, Professor Tarsem, Professor Mayank, and Professor Ravinder were present. Stage management was handled by Astha and Sachin, while Hindi Department faculty Dr. Nisha Chandel, Professor Aarti Dohru, and Dr. Reena Rana played key roles in organising the event.
