SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh is bracing itself for a significant weather change as a fresh western disturbance is expected to become active in the state starting January 25. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert forecasting rain and snow in various regions of the state, starting from January 25 and continuing through January 30.
According to meteorological experts, high-altitude areas are expected to experience rain and snowfall from January 25 to 28. Subsequently, on January 29 and 30, medium and high-altitude regions may witness rain and snow.
The entire state is currently in the grip of a severe cold wave, with chilling winds sweeping through all corners.
