The Himachal Pradesh government on Friday (December 12, 2025) approved a minor administrative reshuffle, placing one IFS and two HPAS officers in new roles. The transfers, notified by Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta, include key postings such as the new RTO for Shimla and a fresh appointment in Milkfed.
Vishw Mohan Dev Chauhan, a 2019-batch HPAS officer currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Technical Education Department, has been appointed Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Shimla. His joining will relieve Suri Das Negi, who was holding the charge additionally.
In another change, Dr Vikas Sood of the 2012 HPAS batch, presently the Managing Director of Milkfed, has been elevated as Additional Secretary (Technical Education). He has also been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Additional Secretary (Revenue-DM).
Rajesh Sharma has been sent back to Milkfed, marking his second posting there. He was assigned to the organisation briefly in February 2023 before being shifted within 24 hours to Samagra Shiksha as Director. With Friday’s notification, he will once again take charge of the cooperative.
