Himachal Pradesh has recorded the third lowest rainfall in 123 years in November 2024. According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, very little rain fell in the state in November 2024. Rain activity was low on most days. The state recorded the third lowest rainfall in November during the period 1901-2024.
Highest rainfall occurred in 1925
The highest rainfall of 88.5 mm in November was recorded in 1925. According to the Meteorological Centre-Shimla, only 0.2 mm of rain fell in the state from 1 to 30 November, which is 99 per cent less than normal. Whereas 19.7 mm of rain was considered normal during this period. There has been no rain in November 2024 in Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Solan, Sirmaur, Kullu, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Una and Chamba districts. Know the weather forecast for the next seven days
Light rain and snowfall is expected in the higher reaches of Lahaul-Spiti and Chamba including Kinnaur, Kangra, Mandi and Kullu districts till December 3. On the other hand, the rest of the state is likely to have mainly dry weather during the next seven days.
