Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania visited disaster-affected families in the Bhatiyat constituency, including the villages of Bharari, Banui, Bailahad, and Balera. During his visit, he interacted with residents, assessed their concerns, and assured them of comprehensive support from the state government.
Pathania announced that key regional roads—Saanjhi Nala–Lahdu–Chuwadi–Dadariyada–Patka and Lahdu–Tunuhetti—will be upgraded and strengthened under disaster mitigation efforts. The project, estimated to cost ₹300 crore, will be funded through the World Bank and includes the construction of bridges and other critical infrastructure.
He also referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent announcement of ₹1,500 crore in relief and rehabilitation aid for Himachal Pradesh, urging the central government to expedite the release of funds.
Addressing the public, Pathania emphasized the state’s commitment to standing by every affected family during this crisis. He directed officials to accelerate relief and rehabilitation efforts and ensure swift restoration of damaged infrastructure.
Under the special disaster relief package, the state government is providing:
- ₹7 lakh for fully damaged houses
- ₹1.25 lakh for partially damaged houses
- ₹70,000 for household goods
- ₹50,000 for land loss
Pathania also visited Swami Shri Hari Giri Sannyas Ashram in Kakira, offering prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the people. He resolved several local issues on the spot during his interactions.
Officials present included SDM Dalhousie Anil Bhardwaj, SDM Chuwadi Paras Agrawal, Tehsildar Dalhousie Ramesh Chauhan, Tehsildar Chuwadi Suman Dhiman, Executive Engineers Narendra Chaudhary, Rakesh Thakur, and Pankaj Rathore.
