KANGRA: In a major political development, Indian National Trade Union Congress (Federation) state youth president Rahul Pathania joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nurpur on Thursday (May 29, 2025).
Pathania joined the BJP in the presence of Kangra-Chamba Member of Parliament Dr Rajeev Bhardwaj and BJP (organisational) district president (Nurpur) Rajesh Kumar ‘Kaka’.
BJP youth worker Shrey Awasthi played a crucial role in facilitating Pathania’s induction into the party, bridging the gap between emerging youth leadership and the BJP’s development-oriented vision.
Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Pathania said: “I am deeply inspired by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s nationalist and youth-focused policies. I am committed to working with dedication for the party and contributing to the region’s development.”
The joining was a significant gain for the BJP, especially in strengthening its base among youth leaders in the politically important Kangra-Chamba region, said Rajesh Kumar ‘Kaka’
