Shimla: The proposed budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 in Himachal Pradesh focuses prominently on employee welfare, with a significant allocation of Rs. 14,687 crore reserved exclusively for employee salaries.
Additionally, Rs. 9,961 crore is designated for pensions, reflecting the state’s commitment to the well-being of its workforce.
Financial Commitments and Highlights:
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu presented the budget estimate of Rs. 58,444 crore, outlining key financial priorities. Apart from salaries and pensions, a substantial portion of the budget, amounting to Rs. 11,700 crore, is allocated for loan repayments and interest.
The distribution also includes Rs. 1,438 crore for social security pensions and Rs. 2,700 crore for maintenance.
