The Kangra district unit of the Himachal Pradesh BJP has announced a new list of office-bearers after consultations with the state leadership, including state BJP president Dr Rajeev Bindal. Among the notable appointments is Paras Sharma, who has been again given charge as the social media convener of the Kangra BJP organisational district.
The announcement was made by Sachin Sharma, the district president of the BJP in Kangra. The new appointments are aimed at strengthening the party’s outreach ahead of upcoming local body elections and ensuring better coordination within various wings of the party.
Paaras Sharma (25), known for his dynamic presence in digital campaigns and youth outreach, will be responsible for amplifying the BJP’s messaging across social media platforms in the district. His appointment comes at a time when digital engagement is seen as a key element in political strategy and voter mobilisation.
Joining him in the social media team is Lalita Vashisth, who has been appointed as the co-convener for social media.

The Kangra unit plays a crucial role in the BJP’s performance in Himachal Pradesh and the new team is expected to play a key part in preparing for the upcoming panchayat elections and the 2027 Assembly polls.
