Kangra:
Under the leadership of Kangra Chief Medical Officer, a health check-up and awareness camp was conducted on Saturday at the Government Senior Secondary School at Khaira in Kangra district.
Organised under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (National Child Health Programme), the initiative saw the Bhawarna health block medical team — comprising Dr Varun, Dr Asha, Daya Devi, Deepika, Ankur Parmar, Sonu and Reena — provide comprehensive medical assessments for schoolchildren.

The camp also focused on educational outreach, raising awareness about India’s tuberculosis-free India mission and addressing critical adolescent health topics. Officials remarked that such efforts are vital for early detection of health issues and for instilling positive health behaviours among young students. Activities included screening for common childhood and adolescent health conditions, counselling sessions, and distribution of informational materials.
