Guru Nanak Public School in Dalhousie is known not only for imparting high-quality education but also for instilling cultural values and traditions in its students. The school ensures that children remain rooted in their heritage while also achieving academic excellence. This blend of modern education with traditional values was once again showcased during the celebration of Janmashtami.

On the auspicious occasion, the students of the school organized a special activity outside the school premises. They set up a small stall where they served milk with almonds and bread pakoras as prasad. What made the event even more special was that the children themselves distributed the prasad with their own hands to the local residents, tourists, and passersby. The warm smiles and enthusiasm of the students reflected their devotion and joy in celebrating the festival.

The initiative was well-received by everyone present. Locals appreciated the efforts of the school in connecting the younger generation with cultural practices, while tourists expressed delight at experiencing the festive spirit of Himachal Pradesh in such a welcoming way. Many visitors stopped by the stall, interacted with the children, and praised their dedication and discipline.

Teachers and school management also encouraged the students, highlighting the importance of celebrating festivals in a manner that spreads happiness and strengthens community bonds. According to them, such activities not only teach children about their cultural heritage but also instill values of sharing, service, and unity.

The event became a beautiful blend of devotion, culture, and education, where students learned the true essence of Janmashtami—not just through books or classrooms, but by living the festival and sharing it with society. With this thoughtful initiative, Guru Nanak Public School once again set an example of holistic learning.
