Nestled under the shadow of the mighty Kailash peaks, the ancient and renowned Kartik Swami Temple—located at Bhukhar Dhar, about 4 to 5 kilometers from Kugti village in Bharmaur tehsil of Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh—will ceremoniously open its doors on April 14 (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. with traditional religious rituals.
As per age-old tradition, the temple doors are closed and reopened at fixed times each year, a practice locally known as “Anderol Padna and Kholna.” On this sacred occasion, devotees from far and wide gather to seek blessings of Lord Kartik Swami.
The temple committee has requested devotees not to visit on April 13, as there are no arrangements for overnight stay. All pilgrims are advised to arrive on the morning of April 14 for darshan.
Devotees have also been urged to maintain the sanctity of the temple and cooperate with the administration. Bharmaur authorities have been requested to ensure adequate police presence to maintain law and order so that the event proceeds peacefully.
The temple priests have extended heartfelt thanks in advance to all devotees and local residents for their support in making this auspicious occasion successful.
