Govt Prioritizes Employment, Welfare, and Development: Kanwar

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presented the annual budget for the financial year 2025-26 today, focusing on the state’s overall development and prioritizing the upliftment of the weaker and underprivileged sections of society.

Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Naradev Singh Kanwar, hailed the budget as historic and visionary.

He praised CM Sukhu, emphasizing that the budget is particularly dedicated to the welfare of youth, senior citizens, single women, widows, farmers, horticulturists, women’s self-help groups, and youth organizations.

Kanwar highlighted that the government has considered the needs of all sections of society in this budget. He welcomed initiatives aimed at providing employment, skill development, and self-employment opportunities for the youth.

Additionally, he appreciated the provisions made to empower women’s groups and support their economic independence.

He also pointed out that the budget includes special financial assistance, pension schemes, and livelihood support for senior citizens, widows, and single women, ensuring their self-reliance and security.

Furthermore, the government has introduced several schemes to boost agriculture and horticulture, providing farmers with better market access and financial support.

Expressing gratitude to CM Sukhu, Kanwar stated that this budget is people-centric and promotes social justice. He expressed confidence that it would lead Himachal Pradesh toward new heights of development while ensuring the holistic welfare of every section of society.
