Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla Visits Disaster-Affected Areas in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh

Chamba : Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla conducted an extensive visit to several disaster-affected regions in the Chamba subdivision today, assessing the current situation and interacting with affected residents. He listened to their concerns and directed departmental officials to ensure swift and effective resolution of their issues.

During the visit, the Governor inspected the landslide-hit section of the National Highway near Gram Panchayat Kariyan. He also reviewed damage at Kalsooni, Gharwala, and Lothal Ghar, where portions of the highway have been severely impacted.

In a gesture of spiritual solidarity, Governor Shukla offered prayers at the historic Trilochan Mahadev Temple near Gharwala, seeking peace and prosperity for the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal briefed the Governor on the extent of damage and the restoration efforts undertaken by the district administration. The visit was attended by local dignitaries including MLAs Neeraj Nayyar, Vipin Parmar, Dr. Janak Raj, D.S. Thakur, BJP District President Dheeraj Narayal, the Governor’s Secretary C.P. Verma, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Yadav, and officials from various departments and the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation.
