DHARAMSHALA: Gaggal airport in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has secured the first position in terms of customer satisfaction in a survey conducted by the Airports Authority of India.
While Gaggal airport was on the top, Rajahmundry airport in Andhra Pradesh was awarded the second prize and Madurai International Airport took the third spot, as per the awards announced on the occasion of the 30th Annual Day of the Airports Authority of India.

The awards were based on Customer Satisfaction Survey (2024) for domestic airports. These airports have set new benchmarks in passenger experience and service quality, underscoring the Airports Authority of India’s commitment to excellence.
The awards were presented by AAI Chairman Vipin Kumar in the presence of AAI board members and the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO). The recognition aims to honour the exceptional dedication of these airports towards passenger convenience and satisfaction.
These accolades highlight the AAI’s relentless efforts in enhancing airport infrastructure, optimising service efficiency, and improving the overall travel experience for passengers.
The focus of airports on innovation, quality service and customer-centric approach has been a key factor in achieving these prestigious awards.
