Gaddi Vikas Samiti-Delhi hosts annual cultural event; MPs Indu Goswami, Rajeev Bhardwaj discuss community development

BHARMOUR: The Gaddi Vikas Samiti-Delhi organised its annual and cultural celebration on Sunday (March 16, 2025), bringing together members of the Gaddi community residing in the national capital.
The event was graced by Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami, Kangra Lok Sabha MP Dr Rajeev Bhardwaj and Bharmour MLA Dr Janak Raj as chief guests.

Discussion on key community issues

During the event, representatives of the Gaddi community engaged in discussions with the attending MPs, seeking their support for several crucial issues.

The demands included the expedited approval of the proposed Holi-Utrala road connecting Bharmour to Kangra, the establishment of a Tribal University in Chamba-Kangra and granting tribal status to those community members who were previously excluded from the official list.


The MPs assured the community that they would take these concerns forward at the appropriate platforms.

Himachali folk music enthrals audience

The event featured a captivating cultural performance by renowned Himachali singer Sunil Rana, who mesmerised the audience with traditional Pahadi songs.

Enthusiastic attendees took to the floor, dancing to the rhythmic beats of the local melodies, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the celebration.


Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami, Kangra MP Dr Rajeev Bhardwaj and other dignitaries extended their congratulations to the organisers and the Gaddi community members in Delhi for successfully hosting the grand event.
