Bharmour – A thought-provoking “Shiksha Samvaad” (Education Dialogue) was organized on Friday at the Government Senior Secondary School, Bharmour, where students, parents, and faculty gathered to reflect on the evolving challenges and responsibilities in modern education.

Chaman Singh, School Management Committee (SMC) President, addressed the parents, highlighting the importance of limiting children’s use of modern devices like mobile phones strictly to academic purposes.

He emphasized the need to keep the younger generation away from harmful substances such as drugs and encouraged making full use of government welfare provisions under the Right to Education Act, 2009. These include free textbooks, uniforms, and scholarships for tribal students—opportunities that should be availed to their fullest by all eligible learners.

Principal Aruna added that vocational education deserves equal recognition as basic education, especially in today’s skill-driven world. She advocated for integrating practical training alongside traditional learning to empower students with employable skills.

A significant feature of the event was the collective pledge taken by both teachers and parents to work together toward ensuring quality education. The gathering reflected a shared commitment to nurturing responsible, well-rounded individuals.

The program witnessed the presence of all school staff and parents, further reinforcing the school’s strong community engagement and shared vision of academic excellence fused with moral guidance.

This dialogue not only spotlighted the importance of academics but also underscored the need for values, discipline, and a balanced approach to technology in shaping future citizens.
