Death of GST Joint Commissioner in Shimla Raises Concerns

Shimla: In a shocking incident, the body of Rohit Indora (39), serving as the Joint Commissioner in the Central Goods and Services Tax (GST) Department, was discovered under suspicious circumstances at Gialpho House in Shimla’s Strawberry Hill area.

Indora, a resident of Rosewood Apartments in Dwarka, Delhi, was found lifeless in his room, raising serious concerns in the otherwise serene surroundings of Shimla. Acting swiftly on the information, the police took custody of the body and sent it to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) for a post-mortem examination.

Cause of Death Yet to Be Determined

As of now, the cause of death remains unclear. Shimla Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Navdeep Singh stated that a comprehensive investigation is underway, and the exact reason will be determined only after the post-mortem and forensic reports are received.

To ensure a thorough examination, a team from the forensic laboratory in Junga inspected the site, documenting every detail to rule out foul play. The authorities are exploring all possibilities, including suicide, health complications, or other suspicious circumstances.
