Students of Classes 5 and 6 from DAV Public School, Gohju, Kangra, undertook an educational tour to the Dharamshala International Stadium on Thursday (October 17, 2025).
The visit offered the young learners an opportunity to explore various sections of the renowned sports complex and develop a deeper appreciation for athletics and sportsmanship.
Highlights of the tour:
Indoor stadium:
The students observed facilities dedicated to different indoor sports and learned about the importance of physical fitness and sporting discipline.
Athletics stadium:
At the athletic arena, they were briefed on various track and field events, which sparked enthusiasm and curiosity about competitive sports.
Cricket ctadium:
The group also visited the iconic cricket ground, where they explored different aspects of the game and gained insights into how international matches are organised.
Principal Vishal Katoch appreciated the initiative, emphasising that such educational trips play a vital role in the holistic development of students. He also thanked the parents for their support and cooperation in making the excursion a success.
