Dalhousie :- In a celebration brimming with spirit and purpose, Dalhousie Hilltop School marked International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025, with enthusiasm and a deep sense of inner elevation. Aligned with the national campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the event aimed to place yoga at the heart of young India’s lifestyle.
Set against the tranquil Himalayan backdrop at 7,900 feet above sea level, the session commenced at 5:45 a.m., inviting students into the day with fresh mountain air and panoramic vistas—an ideal environment for embracing India’s ancient wellness tradition.
Students and teachers participated wholeheartedly, guided by trained instructors through a series of asanas, pranayama, and meditation. The collective discipline and unity witnessed during the session reflected the school’s commitment to holistic development.
While Dalhousie Hilltop School incorporates yoga into its daily routine—living up to its motto “Inspiring Minds, Instilling Values”—this special occasion brought renewed purpose and energy. It served as a reminder that true education nurtures not just the intellect but also the heart and body.
School Chairperson Dr. Poonam Dhawan shared a heartfelt message on the occasion:
“Yoga is not just a practice; it’s a way of life. It teaches us discipline, patience, and harmony—qualities we strive to instill in every Hilltopian. Today is about more than postures—it’s about absorbing yoga’s essence and living it daily.”
She urged students to become ambassadors of well-being and embrace India’s ancient wisdom in the modern world.
The school reiterated its belief that yoga is not confined to a single day of celebration—it is a continuous journey toward self-awareness, resilience, and a balanced life. Through such meaningful initiatives, the school reaffirms its vision of nurturing intellectually capable, emotionally grounded, and physically strong individuals.
