Dalhousie: Floral Tribute Ceremony Held on Mahatma Gandhi’s 78th Death Anniversary

On the occasion of the 78th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, a floral tribute ceremony was organized at Gandhi Chowk by the Deshbhakt Sardar Ajit Singh Memorial Committee, Dalhousie.

Several dignitaries and citizens paid homage by offering flowers at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Those present included Tehsildar Dalhousie Ramesh Chauhan, DSP Dalhousie Mayank Sharma, General Secretary of the Artists and Writers Forum Baldev Khosla, social worker Snehlata, senior citizen Daya Ram, Treasurer Munish Thakur, senior assistant from SDM Office Dalhousie Darshan Kumar, retired teacher Vikas Kumar, Municipal Council employees Ramesh Kumar and Kewal Singh, along with Tilak Tandon, Tilak Raj, Bhan Singh, Kuldeep Chauhan, Pawan Tandon, Pawan Thakur, Kuldeep Kumar, Jagat Ram, journalists Kuldeep Raj and Satish Kumar.

Also present were the committee’s Executive President Subhash Chauhan, General Secretary Virender Thakur, Vice President Ram Singh Chauhan, and other prominent citizens of the town.

The program was conducted by General Secretary Virender Thakur. On the occasion, Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite bhajan “Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Re” echoed through the valleys of Dalhousie, creating a solemn and devotional atmosphere. The ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.

At the end of the program, the organizing committee expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries and citizens present for their participation.
