CHAMBA: After a dazzling start in Dharamshala, the spotlight now shifts to Chamba. The iconic Darbar Hall at Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College is all set to host the second leg of The Newz Radar-Shining Star Awards 3.0 on June 8, 2025.
Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania will grace the occasion as the chief guest, honouring meritorious students from the district.
This year’s Chamba event, which had drawn overwhelming participation in 2024, promises to be even grander and more inspiring. The awards function will be held from 10 am to 1 pm and is expected to draw hundreds of students, parents and education stakeholders from across the region.
80% cut-off for Class 10, 12 students
For this year’s Chamba leg of the awards, students who scored 80% and above in Class 10 and Class 12 board exams (all boards and streams) will be eligible for recognition. The awards aim to appreciate students not only for their academic excellence but also for their determination and commitment in an increasingly competitive environment.
The inaugural event in Dharamshala witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of over 1,000 students, parents, teachers and dignitaries. Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri graced the occasion as chief guest, felicitating around 650 students who scored 85% and above in their Class 10 and 12 board examinations.
Speaking at the event, Agnihotri called the platform “a celebration of ambition, discipline and vision” and encouraged students to “aim for the highest goal” and contribute to the state’s progress.
