Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Shri Kuldeep Singh Pathania, visited Civil Hospital Chuwari today and formally inaugurated a new X-ray machine installed at a cost of ₹8.50 lakh. On this occasion, he inspected various facilities of the hospital and reviewed the status of healthcare services.
The Speaker stated that with the commissioning of the X-ray machine, people of Chuwari and nearby areas will benefit significantly, as patients will no longer need to travel to distant hospitals for diagnostic services. He emphasized that the State Government is continuously working to provide better healthcare facilities at local institutions.
During the inspection, Shri Pathania visited different wards and departments, interacted with patients and their attendants, and sought feedback on the services being provided. He directed the hospital administration to ensure timely and quality healthcare for all patients.
He further announced that a lift will be installed at Civil Hospital Chuwari to facilitate elderly persons, differently-abled individuals, and other patients, ensuring ease of movement within the hospital. He also assured that vacant posts and other essential requirements of the hospital will be fulfilled at the earliest.
On this occasion, Chief Medical Officer Chamba, Dr. Jalam Bhardwaj, honored the Speaker with a shawl and cap, and apprised him of the hospital’s facilities, arrangements, and functioning.
The event was attended by Chela Krishan Chand (Member, Board of Directors, State Forest Corporation), Raj Kumar Chambial (Director, Cooperative Bank), Vijay Kanwar (President, Block Congress Committee), Manish Soni (Sub-Divisional Officer Civil), Anil Gurada (Block Development Officer), Rakesh Thakur (Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti), Bhaskar Mahajan (ACFA), Pankaj Rathour (Electricity Department), along with officials of concerned departments, doctors, nursing staff, and other employees.
