Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal on Tuesday (November 18, 2025) honoured karate players from Chamba district for their exceptional performance at the state-level “Spirit of Himachal” Inter-School Karate Championship and the Senior State Karate Championship 2025, organised by the Karate Association of Himachal Pradesh.
The championship was held from November 15 to 16 at Maharaja Palace, Baijnath, in Kangra district. A total of 19 players from the Chamba Karate Association participated, including eight in the senior category, seven sub-juniors and four juniors.
Chamba’s athletes delivered an impressive performance, securing 18 gold, four silver and two bronze medals. Among them, eight senior, four junior and six sub-junior gold medalists have qualified for the upcoming national-level karate championships.
Congratulating the winners, their coaches and the Chamba Karate Association, Repaswal wished the players continued success and encouraged them to bring further glory to the district at the national stage.
