Dalhousie : A two-day Capacity Building Programme focusing on Biology for Senior Secondary classes was successfully conducted at Guru Nanak Public School (GNPS), Dalhousie. The initiative, held under the aegis of the CBSE Centre of Excellence (COE) Panchkula, aimed at enhancing pedagogical competencies among Biology educators in alignment with the evolving demands of modern education.
The programme was guided and supervised by the COE CBSE Panchkula, bringing together experienced educators and subject experts for an enriching academic experience. Mrs. Neera Mahajan and Mrs. Seema Sharma, the designated Resource Persons, led the sessions with engaging methods and insightful pedagogical strategies tailored for senior secondary students.
Mr. Tarun, Head of COE Panchkula, and Ms. Kiran Mehra, also from the COE team, were specially acknowledged for their steadfast guidance and continued support in facilitating such transformative learning spaces. Their vision for capacity building as a cornerstone of educational advancement set the tone for the entire programme.
Addressing the participants, Mr. Navdeep Bhandari, City Coordinator and District Training Coordinator of CBSE, underscored the critical role of such training programmes in the current educational landscape. He stressed that ongoing teacher development is key to nurturing analytical thinking, scientific inquiry, and student-centered learning in the classroom.
